How inflatable power works
Commercial bouncy castles and slides are constant-flow structures: an electric blower continuously tops up air while seams and vents release it. The blower must run for the entire session — if power drops, the unit deflates and users must leave it.
In Europe, blowers run on a standard 230 V supply. Typical blower ratings in the VIV range are in the order of 1.1 to 2.2 kW depending on unit size; the exact rating for each model is listed in the specifications on its product page.
Planning the supply
Give each blower its own fused circuit and avoid long daisy-chained extension leads — voltage drop over long cable runs is the most common cause of underperforming blowers. Outdoor operation calls for RCD protection and connectors rated for outdoor use.
Large units such as long obstacle courses may use more than one blower; the product page states how many a unit needs. When no mains supply is available, size a generator with clear headroom above the blowers' combined rating, remembering that motors draw extra current at start-up.
